For 26+ years and across continents, Dr. John Young has been practicing medicine and educating people on their health. With a thriving practice in Largo Florida, TV shows and a nationwide retail source for non-patients to purchase his products; Dr. Young reaches people everywhere, utilizing and sharing his alternative integrative approach to medicine.
Alexsandra De Oliveira, A.R.N.P.
Alex is from Brazil where she graduated from nursing school in 1997. She practiced as a Registered Nurse in Brazil for several years before she moved to Florida in 2003. In the US she practiced as a RN in Interventional Cardiology before she decided to attend USF and pursue her Master of Science degree in nursing. Alex completed the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner program with a 4.0 GPA. She is board certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. She specializes in bioidentical hormones and is passionate about teaching her patients how to improve their health through a model of mind and body chemistry.
Maria, our Clinic Director, is a dynamic, multi-talented member of our team. She was born in New York but now is practically a native of Florida. She comes to us with a background in the health and beauty industries ranging from laser hair removal to diet and wellness centers. She manages our website, newsletter and helps run the front office. Maria also owned her own health food store and now expertly orders our supplements and manages the practice. She will have an answer to your questions and greet you with a smile at all times!
Nancy has been with the practice for years. She is our insurance and billing specialist and provides our patients with outstanding service. Her experience in accounts receivables, insurance contracts, and billing extends 30 years, and she has been a Certified Professional Coder since 2002. She comes to us from the Orthopedic, Cardiology, Interventional Pain Management and Pediatric fields. We are thankful to have her on our team!
Rachael has been with YFHC for several years. She graduated from Everest University as a Medical Assistant in 2011 and then came to work here. Starting at the front desk she has worked her way from billing, to checking patients in/out and now occupies the position of Dr. Young’s Medical Assistant and right hand ‘woman.’ She also assists Rudee in the IV room. Rudee has been a certified medical assistant and IV technician at YFHC for over 10 years. She first started her medical career in Thailand where she worked as a LPN for 7 years. Since 2009 she has run the IV room smoothly tending to patients by giving injections, drawing blood and administering IV therapy.
Debbie has been with YFHC since 2013. The proud sister of a USAF Brigadier General and daughter of an Army officer, she was born in Illinois, raised in Virginia and moved to Chicago after graduating college. She and her family moved to sunny Florida in 2003. She is our smiling medical assistant that you will see when you sign in for your appointment at the front desk.
Shawn has been a Medical Assistant since 1991. She is from Louisville, Kentucky. Shawn has experience in many areas of the medical field and is looking forward to starting a new path with some great people.
Joey joined our staff August 2015. He has experience working in medical offices and weight loss centers. He thoroughly enjoys working with patients and being able to help others. He is extremely personable so make sure to say hello when you check-out!
Courtney is our New Patient Coordinator. She calls to schedule all new patient appointments. She comes to us with a degree in Finance and she is a proud dog mom to Bolt and Maggie. You can see her smiling face in one of the offices by check in.
Tracy has been a Medical Assistant since 1991 so she is familiar with taking great care of patients. She has many years of experience in Internal Medicine clinics. Tracy is the smiling face you will see when you get your vitals done before heading back to see Dr. Young or Alex. She has 3 dogs: Jonsey, Nala and Bugsy.
